Lagoinha do Leste

The untouched beach of Lagoinha do Leste is considered the main treasure of the island: a wild beach only reached through trails

This beach can be reached by 2 different trails: by the trail that leaves from Matadeiro beach, or by the trail that starts near the Pântano do Sul beach.

By either one, we will have the chance to enjoy the biodiversity of the Atlantic forest, until we reach the beach that for many is the prettiest one in the island.

The trail that leaves from Matadeiro beach delights already at its start, since Matadeiro itself is a beautiful small beach. From there, we will walk along the rocks, always looking at a beautiful sea view. This trail is mostly flat, with just a few ups and downs.

The trail that starts near Pântano do Sul beach takes approximately one hour and a half. Although it is shorter than Matadeiro, it demands more effort, since it has steep up and down hills. This trail is the one the fishermen and the surfers use to go to the beach. When walking on it, we will walk through areas of the Atlantic forest of the Lagoinha do Leste Park.

Once we arrive at the beach, the beauty will come from everywhere: from the dunes, from the creeping vegetation, from the peace of the pretty lake at its left side, from the beach itself, famous for being the wildest one in the island.
